Traction control

Traction control for the fourth generation Camaro was an option. the option normally consisted of a switch in the passenger compartment (and a few more sensors and a 5th brake line). There is also a "hidden" traction control in the engine controller. this traction control retards the engine (up to 25 degrees) if wheel slip is sensed (using the ABS sensors?). Many dragstrip burnouts and races have been lost due to this "mysterious" loss of power. This traction control can be deleted/zeroed out by an ECM tuner (Like LT1_Edit produced by carputing.tripod.com)
