What consists of being called the king of Camaros ? Is it speed, style, driving skill, experience or just the fastest 1/4 mile ! As a former Chevrolet dealer and life-long Chevrolet Master Tech and racer, I have been called assigned this label by anyone that knows me or has come to race me ! In over thirty years of racing I have been passed by only two ! One was a GPZ 1100 motorcycle with No2, which I dont even count and a T-Bucket with 800 HP and No2 ! Niether was considered by most to be a complete door slamming vehicle weighing over 2500 pounds ! I'm sure there are many who visit this site that can blow me away but can they do it with an inspection sticker an street registration ! What most people fail to see in winning a race, is it is the DRIVER and the skills he possess'! I have raced more than a few cars that should have won but did not because of the lack of driving skills ! I have been driving since six, palcing the yellow pages under me and behind me to drive ! My first car was a 1967 Corvette with a 427 standard ! Hard to believe but when your father owns a Chevrolet dealership with 20 gleeming brand new Vettes, it was only a matter of time till I became tired of my go-kart ! I have owned my 1973 Camaro Z28 since 1980. It has an L88-427 with No2 ! It has been blueprinted and balanced and dynoed at 675 HP. I took the 488 rearend out to drive at street speeds but still is a rocket ship !
