A total of 45,417 Camaros were built for worldwide distribution. 5,975 were convertibles and 8,913 were SS.

- A total of 13 Sunset Orange Metallic cars were built for the GM fleet in order to allow the color to be available at start-of-production '01. All will be driven by GM employees and most will be disposed of thru the GM auction program to its GM dealers.
